Bio: Having grown up in your average town of Oakton, VA, Meghan spent her whole life surrounded by music, whether it be from chorus, orchestra, or band. Unfortunately, she never found a passion for any of the instruments she played until her second year of high school marching band, where she was finally able to dirty her hands with percussion. Although she played marimba, she found that her heart continued to beat with the drums (sorry that was cheesy). Nevertheless, Meghan never expected herself to be involved with drumming in any way when she came to Cornell — that is, until she saw a Yamatai performance at clubfest her freshman year. She instantly became fascinated with what they did and decided that she would try out! …Though she was rejected her first year, she realized her love for performing by being an active member of an a cappella group, and missing taiko, she brought that passion to the next year’s tryouts. Finally part of the family, she’s more excited than ever to see where Yamatai takes her in her life!
