Major: Computer Science Hometown: Lindenhurst, NY Member Since: September 2025 Bio: If you told Crystal just 5 years ago that she would end up here, she would have looked at you funny. She never imagined herself playing big, loud, and bold drums. Crystal grew up playing violin and piano and mostly kept to herself. She joined her school's marching band with zero experience, where she played in the pit and later on the drumline. She found out about taiko through a friend of a friend, and it was the first club she looked for at Cornell was Yamatai. She loved the energy of the Big Hero performance at the fall workshop and that's when she knew she had to try out. She is grateful for everything that has led her here, and she is so excited to be a part of Yamatai!
