Jenny DingClass of: 2018
Major: Landscape Architecture Hometown: Shanghai, China Member Since: September 2015 Bio: Jenny (Dingus) was born in Waterbury, Connecticut. Within the first 11 years of her life, she lived a nomadic life and moved 6 times between New York, Hangzhou, Shanghai and New Jersey. When Jenny was starting middle school, she moved back to Shanghai China, where she ended up staying for 8 years. Being used to a life on the road, it was at first very unsettling settling down. But it was at Shanghai where Jenny attended an international school and met a group of Japanese kids who introduced her to the world of anime, video games, and kendo. However, she showed absolutely no potential in any of these. She started but never finished a lot of long mainstream anime, and she proves to be better at hurting herself more than others in both video game battles and kendo duels. She first saw a Yamatai performance at clubfest. Jenny thought she felt some sort of calling (or it was just her being weird) and she knew she had to join. It took her 2 tries but she made it and now Jenny is ready to dedicate herself to a very taiko life.
