Judy ChenClass of: 2019
Major: Psychology & Computer Science Hometown: Melville (Long Island), New York Member Since: September 2016 Bio: Judy was born and raised on Long Island, making her a teeny bit basic but has grown to accept that. From a young age, music was a huge part of Judy’s life as she played violin and piano (like a typical asian) through the end of high school. When it was time to come to Cornell, Judy reluctantly had to leave behind music in order to pursue the premed life (which she has now given up whoop whoop). She grew to miss playing and performing music, especially with people who had the same passion. Thus, it was a blessing when she happened upon a quarter card advertising Yamatai tryouts. At first, Judy just went in to tryouts to have fun with no expectations of making it. However, she fell in love with taiko, gave it her all, and it was the best thing she ever could have done. Now she is happier than she has ever been with her new Yamatai family and looks forward to the sore muscles, calluses, and rock hard biceps (hopefully) that the future will bring. Likes: breakfast sandwiches, bagels, chipotle, going to the gym, dessert, peanut butter, Netflix, Game of Thrones, taiko (obviously), school supplies (I swear I'm not a nerd), leggings and hoodies, music festivals, traveling, candles, soft/ fuzzy things, puppies Dislikes: sweating, summer, waking up early, annoying people, bugs, disorganization |
