Junwon Alex HurClass of: 2028
Major: Food Science Hometown: Kobe, Japan Member Since: September 2024 Bio: Alex was always interested in joining a music-related club at Cornell, especially since he had a musical background playing the saxophone. When he saw Yamatai performing Hero at ClubFest, the loud drumming piqued his curiosity, and in that moment, he knew he had found the perfect one. After three intense and stressful rounds of tryouts, he saw himself part of the Yamafam. Alex was born Daegu, Korea and grew up in Kobe, Japan, but coming to Cornell meant being thousands of miles away from home. Fortunately, Yamatai has become his second family and he enjoys every second with the Fam. By the way, if you’re unfamiliar with Hero, you can learn more about it at PULSE 2025 :). Likes: Haribo, leg day, rewatching j/k-dramas and movies over and over, k-ballad, k-drama OSTs, MCU, udon, coffee, early mornings, the smell of winter, mastering a new hobby when I shouldn't Dislikes: tap water, lukewarm coffee and tea, Baker Lab :-/ Fun fact about me: I started speed skating when I was 4. |
