Lindsay FeiClass of: 2020
Major: Computer Science Hometown: Ithaca, New York Member Since: September 2017 Bio: As soon as Lindsay was offered the chance to play violin in third grade, she immediately gravitated toward the instrument. If she couldn’t sing or dance, at least she could express herself through an instrument. However, as a tone deaf musician, Lindsay was never able to get past the technical aspects of violin and truly lose herself in the music (mom’s spaghetti). So, when she saw Yamatai produce beautiful, energetic music WITHOUT worrying about intonation, Lindsay was not only obsessed with how the performers looked and sounded, but the feasibility of being a good tone-deaf performer as well. As part of Yamatai, Lindsay is excited to focus on the energy of the pieces more than their technicalities, get a full body workout, and help share the art and joy of taiko! Likes: Spontaneity, doodling, late night adventures, tree climbing, scuba diving in Hawaii that one time, and napping Dislikes: Repetition, repetition, indifference, insincerity, jump scares, and Ithaca in the winter Words that Lindsay uses to describe herself: Edgy, tall Words that do not accurately describe Lindsay: Edgy, short |
