Nathan AbelClass of: 2o21
Major: Urban and Regional Studies Hometown: Mercersburg, Pennsylvania Member Since: September 2017 Bio: Nathan was born in Northampton, Massachusetts and proceeded to move 10 times, living in 6 states and two countries by the time he was 12 years old. After being exposed to many different cultures and communities, Nathan found a common ground in music. Learning piano, guitar, and drums from his father since the age of 4, music was a constant in his ever-changing life. In high school, he finessed a piano solo for a group that he wasn't even part of and subsequently became a crucial member of the jazz band and percussion sections. Nathan then switched his main instrument from piano to drums his senior year, the first step towards his future in Yamatai. After arriving at Cornell, he saw the group perform and decided to try out despite knowing little to nothing about the group itself. Nathan is thrilled for his second year as a member of Yamatai and looks forward to 3 more years of blisters and pain!
